Does your heart beat for global justice?
Do you enjoy meaningful conversations about how we can build a better world together?
Then the World Camp, from 1 – 5 July in Belgium, is the place to be!
World Camp
The World Camp is a unique 5-day experience organised annually by Broederlijk Delen, a Belgian organisation striving for a sustainable and fair world. In 2026, we celebrate the 38th edition of this inspiring gathering.
What makes the World Camp truly special? You shape your own journey.
Each day, you can choose from a diverse program of workshops, debates, creative activities and films, according to your interests. Expect five unforgettable days filled with meaningful encounters, fresh insights and powerful inspiration
You’ll camp in a beautiful natural setting, relax in the summer bar in the evenings, and experience how laughing, debating, and creating together can spark real change.
International community
The World Camp brings together young people from across the globe.
Participants include young activists from partner organisations in Bolivia, Colombia, Guatemala, Peru, and Palestine. They will not only participate, but also lead workshops and share their experiences.
In addition, thanks to Erasmus+ and a partnership with the HoWest University of Applied Sciences, participants are also expected from Spain, Portugal, Germany, Austria, Slovakia, Ireland, the Netherlands, Morocco, Tanzania, Brazil, India, Indonesia, Iran and Pakistan.
Warm nests
The World Camp is open to all ages. You will be divided into smaller living groups or so-called “nests” by age group. Every day, you will come together in your own nest to connect, reflect and exchange ideas in a trusted environment.
International participants (ages 18–28) are grouped together with Belgian youth in English- and Spanish-speaking nests, creating a truly intercultural exchange.
Theme
In 2026, we focus on human rights under the theme “Justainable”.
All over the world, human rights are under pressure. Freedoms are being curtailed, the space for civil society is shrinking and hope sometimes seems scarce. But everywhere, people are standing up and taking action. At World Camp, we come together to understand the challenges, exchange perspectives and most importantly, explore how we can turn the tide together.
Dates
The World Camp will take place from Wednesday 1 July to Sunday 5 July 2026.
Important: participants from outside Belgium are expected to arrive one day earlier, on Tuesday 30th of June. We gather in Antwerp on Tuesday and travel together to the campsite on Wednesday.
Accommodation & meals
We camp in the beautiful natural domain “De Hoge Rielen” in Kasterlee, in northern Belgium. You’ll sleep in a tent with maximum 8 people. You’re also welcome to bring your own tent and pitch it on the site. If you’d rather not sleep in a tent, you can book a bed in a nearby dormitory, about 10 minutes walking from the campsite. This costs an extra 30 euros for the whole period.
There is a kitchen team at the camp who provide three delicious meals a day. The World Camp is entirely vegetarian, with vegan options available. Meals are included in the participation fee. In the evenings, there is a summer bar at your own expense.
Price
The participation fee for international youngsters depends on the programme through which you join (for example, via Erasmus+ or through a Broederlijk Delen partnership). If this is unclear, please contact Evy.Hoeben@broederlijkdelen.be.
Registration
Belgian participants can register directly via the registration form on this website.
International participants register via the partner organisation. If this is unclear, please contact Evy.Hoeben@broederlijkdelen.be.
